Here are my highlights for the best spots to view the fall colours in Mississauga- so pack a snack and get the kids out to see the changing colours!
Rattray Marsh
Located along the lakefront in South Mississauga Rattray Marsh is a conservation area in the heart of the city. There are wooden boardwalks bordered by trees to keep you on the trail and away from the sensitive vegetation. The lakefront marsh is the only of its kind between Toronto and Burlington.
Check here for a trail map.
Riverwood
This gem is located in central Mississauga along the banks of the Credit River. A public trail system allows visitors to Riverwood easy access to enjoy the beauty of the autum leaves. Trail brochures are available for self-guided walks. This fall they are also offering regular bird watching hikes - it's free but registration is required.
Erindale Park
The largest park in Mississauga it is located at Dundas and Mississauga Road area. Also located on the Credit River this park offers a spectacular heavily-forested pathway system that is perfect for walking, hiking and cycling. There are magestic views in the fall of the changing leaves along the banks and ravines. It is also part of David J. Culham Trail.
Meadowvale Conservation Area
Located in North Mississauga there are two entrances to this large park - off Old Derry Road and on the South side of Derry Road West. There are 2 hiking trails the Culham and the Glassford trails, taking visitors through forested areas perfect for autumn colour seekers. The trail map shows you can walk right up to the 407!

Do you recommend any of these spots as "stroller friendly"? I'd like to do some viewing this weekend but am trying to figure out where I can go with my little guy. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Do you have a carrier? Babywearing can be your solution and you're not limited to where you can go. Have fun :)
DeleteErindale and Riverwood are definitely stroller friendly. Like Sandra I'd definitely invest in a carrier/sling etc to make walking anywhere easy!
