I’m so excited to announce the arrival of Mississauga to the momstown scene.
I joined the ‘mom world’ almost 4 years ago now with the birth of my twins - a boy and girl. A perfect, instant family, everyone kept telling us. While we were thrilled with our babies, my husband and I never imagined how hard it would be to be new parents, let alone to two at once. The sleepless nights and the angst new parents feel over every choice and decision made it a trying time – times two! I think the best thing I did for myself and my babies during this time, was to get out of the house and connect with other Moms.
I started at my local Ontario Early Years Center and let me tell you, they are amazing! I learned about so many resources available to Moms but I sometimes found it hard to connect outside of the programs. Next, I joined a small, local Mom's group. We met as often as we could but with varying schedules, we couldn't meet up as a group or individually as much as some of the moms (myself included) might have liked.
That’s why I’m so excited about bringing momstown to Mississauga! I wish this had been available to me when I was first navigating the "new Mom" scene. Momstown offers a great mix of early education and fun-based programs for young families. Even better, we offer support for mothers, both online and in person, from other Moms who are in the same stage of life.
As my family transitions this fall to Kindergarten, I feel very lucky to have found this opportunity with momstown to start a business connecting fantastic Moms in our community while still being able to walk my kids to school every day!
I hope you will join me on my new adventure in momstown and connect with other Mississauga Moms along the way!
